"......that's my fault." Ryker admitted.

"You weren't breathing." he said.

"So I had to do CPR and the like... chest compressions, mouth-to-mouth..." he went on, trailing off a bit.

"I think I bruised your ribs in the process." he then mumbled.

"Sorry about that..."

"Juice, got it." Ryker replied, getting up.

"I'll get you some." he told him.

"What kind?" he asked.

"We got apple, orange, fruit punch, and... some of that berry punch left." he said further.

"Oh, and they're all in those little juice bag things." he then added.

"If that matters or not."

Ryker nodded, and left.

Aly was silent for a moment, and sighed.

"No." she replied.

"Not right now." she told him.

"However, I DO suggest getting a doctor here to look you over." she then suggested.

"You went through a very harrowing experience."

Aly withdrew for a moment when Eke said that.

"I... I was referring to a medical doctor." she said.

"That mugger might have hurt you." she went on.

"You might have some damage inside from being in the river, and almost drowning like that." she continued.

"And you should see if your ribs are okay, in case they're more than just bruised..." she added quietly, looking away.

Aly was silent, and just held him back.

"I know." she said, as Ryker replied with a water bottle.

"Here." he said, handing it to Eke.

"I mixed a bunch of the juices together to make 'swamp water' punch, essentially." he told him.

"Hopefully it's all right."

"Good enough." Ryker replied.

"Can we get a medic here?" he then asked.

"Because you're pretty hurt." he went on, echoing what Aly had said earlier.

"I want to make sure there's nothing wrong, or whatever. I want you to heal properly and all that." he reasoned further.

"That cool with you?" he asked.

"I know, I know." Ryker replied.

"No shrinks." he reiterated.

Aly looked confused when she heard that.

"Don't ask." Ryker told her.

"Eke will tell you when he's good and ready." he said.

"I understand." Aly replied.

"Mm." Ryker mumbled.

"....hm." Aly muttered.

"Well, whatever." Ryker said.

"He... doesn't have a good history with them." he told Aly. "We'll leave it at that." he finished.

"Okay then." Aly said.

"Regardless, I'm going to go call a doc to see if they can show up here and look Eke over." Ryker then said, before leaving the room to make the call.

Aly blushed from the sudden kiss, and wasn't sure if this was the proper time for it... but she quickly stopped overthinking it, and gave in to her emotions and desires.

She had been scared for Eke's safety.

Eke was now all right.

That was good enough for her right now. Not as his nurse, but as the woman that loved him.

So she returned the kiss with just as much passion, wrapping her arms around him, and allowing their lips to caress each other.

Aly returned Eke's passion, holding him close and pressing herself closer towards him.

At that point, Ryker was about to step into the room, but something stopped him.

He peered into the room, before stepping away and silently moving away from the door.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"You go, kid." he whispered to the air.
