@KairoSama: On another avatar site there was even a Dutch hangout where you could speak in Dutch.
@KairoSama: It is Swedish but we don't think of it as anything special so when foreign people keep talking about it we just get exasperated.
But yeah people tend to be satisfied when they come to visit, it is fairly fun to listen to drunk americans on the train sometimes.

@KairoSama: We get tourist from all over and students from all over. I am often surprised by how many foreign students study in Sweden so far from their own countries even tho the education they are in is rather common.
Everyone being all international and well-traveled and I'm just sitting here like

but I've been across the country a couple times so at least there's that.

@KairoSama: I hope so! I have the wanderlust and dream of visiting everywhere and seeing everything! One of my friends from high school is living his dream and studying music (specifically, he's going to be a composer for anime soundtracks!) in Japan. Q uQ I'm so proud of him.

I live in the southern U.S. and am just not a big fan of the culture or the weather down here. At least in the Midwest there was a bit more excitement and diversity, but down here it's pretty homogeneous. X nX

There are some nice spots here in the US and a good deal of things to do depending on where you are. It is definitely hot, especially here in the desert, and always gets humid and miserable in the central states too. D:
We do have some caves nearby that have ancient petroglyphs and it's easy to find old pottery shards and arrowheads left over from the Natives. I just wish there was more to do that didn't involve things like rodeo or generally sweating balls. xD
