Yeah, it is afternoon here as well.
I gotcha. I just made an appointment which will get me out of work early to get my nails done. My freakin' SNS that's been on just over a week chipped off. Pissed and going somewhere else my hairdresser recommended.

I'm a habitual nail biter and spending money to make my nails thick and look good is the only way to keep me from biting them. XD

@Lina: I'm 27 years old and didn't have a proper manicure until my wedding this March. My nails grew out cause I was TERRIFIED to put them in my mouth for fear of messing them up. So I've kept with it since!

I glue in fake nails sometimes, or paint them (really rarely). That's the closest I've ever gotten to a manicure. :vanora_xd:

@Lina: I pay $25 every three weeks and it's sooo worth it. My nails are still really paper thin naturally, but the SNS on top strengthens them to the point that it doesn't really matter. o_o

I typically do cheap fake nails. I switch out every 2 weeks or so. So it's like $10 a month total.

@Lina: I wish I had the patience to do that myself. I suck with applying things with glue, especially with my left hand. DX
@concentricity: some of them are pre-glued. But it can be tricky. It's not too bad. :vanora_sweat:
@Lina: Hmm, that sounds not as daunting as applying glue yourself though. Problem is, my nails are paper thin and I need a really thick top on it to make it grow out. Five dips of SNS powder does the trick.
@concentricity: My nails aren't too bad. They aren't too thin, but they are kinda brittle. I like fake nails to keep them safe. XD
