Boss, Well in my experience (irrelevant of if the person is male or female), unless things are discussed directly
if there is flirting and people like each other a lot, then saying something kind of along those lines seems fairly normal. It's your choice to be honest or avoid talking about it. Some might think chuckling it off just means you might be cute and shy, though?
