Al just held him in response, and buried her face in his shoulder.

"I love you, too, Eke." she said quietly.

"I don't want to lose you." she went on. "Whether it to be THIS, or any undead elder dragon." she went on, sobbing.

"I want to be with you for as long as I can."

"......." Aly was silent, as the medics entered the building.

Once they did, they took Eke out to the vehicle, and Aly followed.

They both got into the back of the ambulance, and they took off, as the people looked over Eke.

"....Eke..." Aly said.

"What were you doing?" she asked.

"You scared me."

The paramedics were immediately checking his arm, and Aly cried a little more.

"...Eke..." she said.

"You jumped off a building and flew into the forest." she told him.

"An undead dragon was there." she went on.

"...Eke, you were acting like you were someone else..."

The paramedics responded immediately by making sure he was laying in a position that would deter coughing, and placing a sort of respiratory mask over his mouth and nose.

"Just concentrate on breathing." one told him.

"We're almost at the hospital, and we'll make sure you're all right." they assured him further.

"Please don't leave me let, Eke." was all Aly managed to whisper.

Aly responded to this by texting Ryker, telling him what was happening, and where they were going.

Sure enough, when the doctors had finished examining Eke, and was laying in a hospital bed, hooked up to some machines and IVs, Aly and Ryker were sitting at the side of his bed.

"....damn it." Ryker said.

"This is not fair." he growled.

"This shouldn't be happening to Eke."

".....hey." Ryker said.

"Relax, you're in the hospital." he told him.

"Aly and I are here, you're safe." he went on.

"So. I hear you went and pulled a hell of a stunt." he then commented.

"Worried Aly here sick, almost." he continued.

"What happened?"

Ryker just placed a hand on Eke's shoulder.

"Calm... calm." he said.

"You're in the hospital." he told her.

"You jumped off the building, and flew into the woods, where you collapsed in a clearing." he explained. "And according to Aly, an undead elder dragon was there, but they flew off when she arrived." he said further.

"Eke, what's going on?" he then asked.

"....if you even know, anyway." he added at the end.

"..........." Ryker was silent as Eke snapped at him, and Aly looked ready to cry again.

"Fine." Ryker then said.

"So you don't know." he commented.

"Then it's clear what I need to do." he went on.

"I need to wait until you're called again by that zombie, and then beat it down again and again until it can't get back up." he said further.

"And I'll find whomever this is originating from, and bury them so far in the ground that the earth itself will compact their corpse into a diamond.' he added.

"Because your life is becoming miserable again, I can tell. And as your brother, I won't stand for that."

Ryker's demeanour immediately changed when he heard that.

"....dreams?" he asked.

"I see." he said.

"Care to... elaborate?" he then asked him further.

Aly, meanwhile, had moved up closer to Eke, and was holding one of his hands between her own. She was worried, and trying to comfort him, hut also just wanted to hold him right now.

Ryker just sighed.

"Hm." he muttered.

"I see." he said.

"You know, the dreams are alarming." he told him. "This is all connected." he continued.

"I'm sure of it." he went on.

"And while I know you said that sometimes we just need to take things as they come, and not worry about the future, I refuse to sit back and let someone take you from us." he then added.
