Forums General Chit-Chat Meeting the fam, tonight

Donator — pancake Posted 7 years ago ( 2017/10/2 01:41:33 )
My boyfriend and I have been dating for six months and I'm meeting his family tonight.
They're celebrating his birthday.
Anywho, I'm kind of freaking out a little?
I'm not great at first impressions.
And I'm really self-conscious of my appearance.
And they're all republicans. D:
Distract me, plox???

@blinkini: just try to be nice and upfront like say you're really shy
at meeting people the first time and I wish you good luck

@Unicorn: It was on Thursday. He worked. But he's not really a birthday person... Also, he's 31, so he doesn't feel he should be celebrating, anyway.

You will be fine! If they really want to converse with you they will try to strike up a conversation as I'm sure they are aware that you are probably nervous and not sure what to say or act lol

@Unicorn: It's difficult cheering him up. He's always in a state of blah. Unless he's intoxicated, and then he's giddy and happy and just the goofiest.

@Burntcicle: Idk. He doesn't understand why I should be nervous, so Idk if they'll feel the same? =/

@Unicorn: What can I say, I adore him. He makes me happy and takes care of me. Even if he doesn't always understand me. He still tries.

If you can’t say something nice, Don’t say anything at all!
