So I just got an email and welp. A couple years back a person that worked for the company I also worked for got hit by a car. And I saw it happening. Anyway it appears that after these years he now has gotten a laywer and he want's to talk to me. I really don't wanne have to show up in court in the end as a witness.

You said it yourself, it's been a couple years.
How can they expect you to be a quality 'witness' on the stand after such a length of time? Memories... are rather fickle after all.
