Angel sighed and she too slowly stood, brushing herself off. "Calm yourself Aynn, he's mostly bark. If he was a threat, he would've attacked us already. He's just feeling overprotective. Wouldn't you if you were in his shoes?" She spoke calmly, lightly placing a hand on her friend's shoulder. Honestly, Riku reminded her of her lost brother in more ways than one. Sora tilted his head at her words. "Well.. I could take you to the Mayors house in the mainland, he runs the town." He offered casually. "Our boats our on the other side of the island, where I first met Amrynn. Their pretty small though.. so you won't both fit on one boat." He tried to explain.
Angel blinked. "Boats? You have to travel across the water to get back to the mainland?" She asked, curious. Sora grinned. "Well of course! we can't exactly swim from the beach to the island, it's too far." He explained. Angel nodded and gently took her friend's hand. "We've got no choice then." She said, before the boys turned and led them back to the other side of the island through the shack door.

Amrynn only sighed and followed along quietly. She wished things could go back to the way they were before they had to leave... She wished she could have told Terra everything she had wanted to tell him. She hated that it was too late. She shook her head of those thoughts and focused on what they had to do now. They had to figure out where to go, how to get back home where they belonged and everything else in between. She ran her hands through her long red locks, tying it up into a ponytail as she had become really warm in the heat of the island.

Angel lightly placed her hands on Amrynn's shoulders as they followed the boys.
After going through the shack and reaching the docks, feeling a bit nervous with the lingering silence surrounding them, Angel spoke. "I'll ride with Riku, Amrynn can ride with Sora.." She murmured quietly. Sora grinned. "That's alright with me, how about you?" He asked, glancing at his silver haired friend, who simply shrugged.
Sora carefully got into his little row boat and held a hand out to Amrynn, in case she needed helped. "The sooner we get you two to the mayor's house, the faster he can help you."

Amrynn nodded in agreement, feeling a bit safer with Sora. She thanked him for his help and carefully stepped onto the boat before looking into the clear blue water. She hoped they could find a safe place to rest for the night at least when it got that late and hopefully come up with some kind of plan,"How long would it take to get to town?" She asked Sora. She was actually kind of curious about the town. It could be a neat place to look around as they went.

The young brunette let go of her hand once they were inside the boat and he sat down to roe, not waiting for Riku since they'd be going to the same place. He seemed to be more in a hurry than the silver haired boy, but he didn't rush the trip back to the shore. Sora glanced at her and pondered for a moment before smiling. "Not long, like ten minutes? Maybe fifteen.." He answered casually.
Riku on the hand had gotten into his boat and turned to look at the princess, who wasn't looking so sure of herself now. "What's the matter, afraid of a little water?" He asked, not attempting to tease her. Angel pressed her lips together briefly before stepping back, and Riku soon understood that he had hit the mark. "My home might as well be a desert wasteland." She murmured. Riku slowly extended his hand to her and offered her a surprising comforting expression. "You'll be alright. I won't let you go over, promise." He said. Angel hesitantly took his extended hand and he helped her into the boat, and waited for her to sit before he began to roe at a steady pace.
You can die anytime...
Amrynn nodded as Sora spoke and looked out at the vast sea,"It's strange seeing so much water like this." She said softly,"Our home use to be a lot like this, where there was lots of greenery and water." She looked down sadly,"After the darkness ravaged our home, it's nothing like this anymore. It's strange for us to see water like this after so long."

Sora's blissful expression softened as she spoke and he also glanced out across the ocean. "No way.. I don't know what I'd do if that ever happened to my world.." He spoke, looking back at her and smiling once more. "We'll definitely get you and Angel back home, and then maybe we could do something to help you get your kingdom back." He said almost as if promising to do so. If he could do anything to help, then he would.
Eventually the boat came on to the shore of the beach and Sora set the row down before hopping out and pushing the boat up onto the beach. He then held a hand out to Amrynn to help her out of the boat. "Riku and Angel should be right behind us."
---
The ride was much quieter for Riku and Angel since they didn't do much talking. Soon, their boat came across the shore and Riku got out to push it up onto the beach like Sora had done previously. Angel got out of the boat by herself and the two of them joined Sora and Amrynn. "See? That wasn't so bad." Riku said with a chuckle and Angel flushed some.

Amrynn nodded and got out of the boat carefully, standing on the beach waiting for the other two,"I hope we can do something somehow... whenever we get back." She said. Once the other two joined them she smiled, waiting to know where they would go from here.

Sora smiled and nodded, glancing at his friend when they pulled up onto the shore. "We should take them to the mayor's house, he'll know what to do." Riku folded his arms loosely, causing Sora to frown. "Well, at least they'll have a place to sleep." He said with a pout.
Angel walked over to Amrynn and gently held her hand as the boys had their little moment. Sora gestured to the girls to follow them, then began to walk down the beach which led to a path and a sidewalk. Riku waited for the girls before following Sora, and Angel gave Amrynn's hand a tug as she followed Sora.

Amrynn followed Angel and Sora quietly, her mind lost in a sea of thoughts. Could they ever get home? Could they ever save their kingdom from the darkness? She wasn't so sure. She was simply an elf and even with what little magic she could do, she didn't really think it would make much of a difference. She was thankful to at least be with Angel and their new friends.
