Forums Welcome Committee Hiya guys!
@amortentia: Who's your favorite character? :D
@cheshirecat: In the first game it's Alistair and Morrigan. In the second it's Varric and Fenris. DAI, Varric and Dorian with Cullen trying to steal a spot on the ladder. Yours?
@amortentia: Alistair, Morrigan and Shale for Origins, Varric for the 2nd, for DAI, it's Dorian, Bull and Cullen. Dorian and Bull are deeeefinitely high on the list because of the new lore that they introduce about their cultures.
@totalanimefan: Ah, got it! Sounds fun :) Will be interesting to see what the next theme will be for DI and orbs.
@cheshirecat: aaaah Bull <3 I love him but he's just below Cullen on the ladder. Love the new lore too and love Dorian in general. That baby <3 I hate the part with him and that chantry lady (can't remember her name atm).

@amortentia: I can definitely understand that! I really like what they added with the Templar order, but I do feel like it's a grab at sympathy for the Templar Order, when it's like 3 games too late. Not that it's a bad addition at all, but it feels like the grey issue that they wanted just waited too long.
@totalanimefan: Will definitely do :)
@cheshirecat: Yeah I agree. I can't make myself feel for the templars at all, maybe individually but as a whole, nope. They made Meredith a great antagonist though, she was....

@lilykin: Thank you! Been a member here long?
@totalanimefan: Chai latte, almost any tea (except camomile) and dark roasted coffee. Medium roast is doable but dark roast is the bomb
What about you? Hot or cold?

@amortentia: I mean Bull did say it's easy to hate a country/group, but individual people are hard to hate. So there is merit in that! And yeah, Meredith was totally bonkers! But Dragon Age II showed the worst side of mages and the worst side of templars. Both are not free of sin, as much as both groups would like to claim.
@lilykin: Oh, we're both newbies then :) Any tips?
@totalanimefan: Yay! You've got good taste then haha. Yeah I prefer unsweetened too, on both of them, but with a few drops of milk in my tea (for the texture). Aw, sorry to hear that. But at least you've got tea and chai :)
@cheshirecat: True. Yeah definitely a lot of fault with both groups. I'm just slightly partial to mages because even though I can't agree with their actions (especially Orsino, that whole thing made me both sad and angry at the same time) I can see WHY the mages turn to demons. They live under this constant fear to be struck down, especially in Kirkwall, where there are so many templars which are soo soo bad, and the knight commander knows it and not only doesn't stop it, but almost encourages it.

@amortentia: Well, that's Dragon Age II's whole thing, you know? Mages are being repressed to an insane degree, to where they're being violated, almost on the daily by the very people who are supposed to protect them. So what does an animal do when they don't see a way out and they're scared? They get angry and insanely violent. The fact they turn into demons shows that the demons offered them something that the mages found much better than the treatment from the templars.
Am I defending them? No. But I can see their point of view, you know? Like, I can't say I wouldn't do the same if I were put in their position, especially if I had the power to change at my fingertips.

@Amortentia: Find some threads you like and make yourself at home 😊
@totalanimefan: Yes :) Ooh, matcha is soo god. Bought a packet of "insta" matcha latte a while back when visiting friends and I love it! Although, to be fair, not quite as delicious as it's cold as it is to drink right after pouring the hot water XD
@lilykin: Will do haha, found the rp corner and will set up my nest there, me thinks :)
@cheshirecat: Exactly! That's how I feel aswell. Like, sure in some places I think they've got it pretty good considering because not all circles are as bad. But Kirkwall? God dang, they've got it SO SO bad over there that how can you blame them for giving in to the demons, when they're already being tormented and living in fear for their lives constantly. In DAI, so far, I just think they're all in the super wrong. At least own up to your mistakes! :vanora_unamused:

@amortentia: Well, then Templars think that mages need to go back in, Mages are like "How about NOOOOO" and then they fight all the time. XD It's just a bowl of mistakes and blood. It's awful.
@cheshirecat: Yeah, it's really awful. And I hate that we have to choose a side on DAI, because they're both in the wrong and they need to cooperate. Imagine how much easier things would have been if you could have them both in your side 🤔
@totalanimefan: True. Sadly no place here serves the actual stuff so the powdery instant version is all I've got 🥺

@totalanimefan: Unfortunately no, if I'd ordered online it would have to be from out of the country, and with shipping and customs it'd wouldn't be worth it :( Luckily I can get a nice cup or chai latte just about everywhere so can't be too sad :3
@amortentia: That would be amazing! I would be interested to see what might have happened! :0
@cheshirecat: I imagine a lot of small squabbles amongst them, but like, the whole world in in danger so maybe help each other out for just a little bit XD I'm hoping for DA4 to resolve some of these things.
@totalanimefan: Sweden. What about you? From what part of the world do you hail?
