im new obviously though ive been on avatar forums before in the past.
im non-binary and go by they/them.
im pretty awkward socially and i have difficulties starting convos.
my first post was obviously in the mini shop as i draw alot and on any new site i set up a shop so i can start drawing cute avatars right away~

@xvz: yeah same, i get the most inspired on these sorts of websites. i use to chat on gaia online. but it got too be a nightmare getting on. from just them putting out nothing but cash items no more in game shop items and no more events where you could win stuff. then people on the art forums just became so rude. instead of staying and chatting they just posted and left sometimes without even reading the whole post. only interested in getting what they want and who cares about the artist. sorry bout the rant. im exited about voltra its so friendly and new and also very supporting of lgbtqia something gaia never had.

@lonelylucid: yeah it made me think abt how a lot of my art development as a Youth was from avi sites lol like making avi art
revisiting this kind of style has been interesting and fun to experiment with

i left gaia before all the inflation stuff happened but i watched this one youtube video abt it lol and it's so wild
it's so interesting to see this like virtual economy play out
i think it's also so big that ppl don't really have social consequences or incentive to invest in the community

ya people were super welcoming when i joined! and i noticed that too
it seems organic, i wonder what the correlation is
i appreciate that displaying pronouns is an option and that you can fill them in

@xvz: yeah i think the smaller the forum the closer the people are and the more friendlier they are ..
ohh i didnt even notice, my pronouns were added without me realizing either it was an option to add them when i first joined or they saw me post my pronouns somewhere and added it. thats awesome :3
