I picked up WoW briefly using a uhh, private server?? I played WotLK on that server with ex-friends. It was nice to be soaked in nostalgia for a bit

It can be fun? Especially if you have a good group of people to play with. But it's a lot of grinding and doing high-level dungeons always seemed like to much of a second job to me
Grinding (especially when it comes to levelling) can be a pain in the butt though
I am the worst at fighting games hahaha
so I never really play them

WotLK didn't seem TOO bad for grinding, but also, Nostalgia can be a liar

I considered trying a diff private server that had like, dual classes - meaning you could be a warlock and a rogue if you really wanted to - but it seemed to be behind like 2 paywalls to even get very far :/

Nostalgia is a big liar. Watching players get all butt hurt in real time that Classic WoW wasn't as fun as they remembered was hilarious
meanwhile I sticked to Ragnarok Online 2 xDD ( at least for as long my laptop could handle it and for at long it was able to get people for grinding i the higher lvl dungeons ^^,
I played Legion when it came out but the was pretty much the last expansion for me. I really didn't like how they handled the story
I hated that they locked flying behind dungeon requirements

The private server I played WotLK implemented future bug fixes/rebalancing, which made it easier to level up :D

WotLK was my first expansion. I think the game had a pretty good balance of fun/grind then. But I also soloed a lot cause I wanted the Loremaster Achievement ^^;

Oof, yeah, feel that. My ex had a falling out with our guild. So I left with him to start a new guild. Then we broke up and I got the guild. So I just made it a bank toon XD

I considered keeping playing that private server just to claim the guild the friend group had - and decided against it 'cause then that would mean playing it more >w>;
