Joker would've been a complete box office fail if it weren't for Joaquin Pheonix's performance. This isn't just his acting abilities but a bunch of the more emotional scenes of him were improved and he was able to do his own clown makeup that is now the iconic asymmetrical paintjob we see everywhere

grost you have to resave thunk later cause i used cloud base instead of marshmallow
- The scene where he randomly started dancing in a bathroom was completely improved, originally in the script he was supposed to have a complete breakdown, screaming at himself in the mirror
Another scene where he pulls shelves out of his fridge and climbs inside in shame was also completely improved
There's plenty more but those are the first two I remember
I love this movie too much lol
- The cloud color is a shameful color, overused and tacky
Not enough marshmallow rep I want more marshmallow alts too much cloud going on
- No, just compiling our avatars to make a family tree sorta thing on the Bulletin Board
- When I saw the trailers I was already on board
Only comic movie I've ever been interested in watching tbh
Mostly because I'm a movie nerd that loves character studies
Also it felt so not comic-y that I sometimes forget that this is about a DC comic book villain
- Oh! Another fun fact about Joker
Many people have talked about how absolutely beautifully shot the movie is and how wonderful the directing is
The cinematographer and the director both worked on all of the Hangover movies
How they managed to do this movie so beautifully baffles me every day
I officially wasted all of my badges
