@Vixen: Explore the Board calculations are going to be a logistical nightmare for Lillypoo - I sincerely feel for her plight right now!! And no, I haven't seen any trades or other information about any of the event rewards yet.

@Wildfire: I was just thinking that writing up a little python script would make Lilypoo's life a lot easier... like just feed in the 14 day matrices of all rewards, as well as the list of each entrant with their picks. then sit out totals for everyone XD

You might want to approach her with that idea, tbh. The impression I got was that the board would change daily, so the rewards would change daily depending on what was chosen and what was assigned to each square that day... but still, it might be worthwhile to suggest it to her. If it was me, I'd end up doing it all by hand, which would, frankly, suck... LOL!

I suspect the awards on each board were pre-planned and not dependent on what people chose the day before. Especially if the plan all along was to do calculations by hand, having prizes be choice-dependent is .... not great.

although now that i think about it, i'm pretty sure you can do something similar using excel spreadsheet macros alone with 15 tabs.

Yeah, I'd think it's just that each square had a different prize each day. I doubt it had anything to do with what was chosen the previous day because that would be really complicated

@Vixen: -shrugs- maybe they do have a spreadsheet or a script to help determine the winners. I can only speak of how it would end up being for me if I were to do something like that game... which, logistically, would not be much fun for me.

@Wildfire: i'm just a nerd. i was thinking that this would make a good entry level interview question XD

I'd probably just have a list of the prize assigned to each square for each day and then a list of the squares each player chose each day and then write down what prizes each person won each day by looking at the squares they chose

@vixen: entry level interview question for what, exactly? -curious-

Yes, judging by what's already posted for Day 1, it seems that each number and each letter have a different prize each day...

That's what I did when I hosted a similar game on a Kpop site, but I just did one board instead of a different board each day.

Like I'd have a list like this with every square and prize:
C2- 100 volts
(Actually I just had an image of the board with the proper prize written in each square but same idea)

Then a list of what each user chose, like this:
Starlight- C2

Then I'd make a list of which prize they won and post that list:
Starlight- 100 volts

@Starlight: yeah I'd probably do that too if I didn't prepare anything beforehand. Probs easier to do so once everyday, but everyday is pretty frequent to have to total stuff up

@Wildfire: any job that would require coding? software engineers, front end/back end engineers. Like the point of a question like this would be to see how someone breaks down the problem into parts and then how they use the parts to come up with the final solution.

I think the values for each square change each day... which adds to the challenge of sorting through it all.

Yeah the board was different each day. The prize for A1could have been 100 volts one day, 5 pawns the next day, and so on

dying, this sounds so tedious
I don't even know how to code but I'd go to the lengths to learn just to write a script and not have to do it manually ADLFKJF
