@Totalanimefan: Yes, exactly, and we always take the dogs off to the side when we come across people walking or biking... but again, it's a sidewalk, in a quiet neighborhood, so I do take some exception to being run off the sidewalk by people who don't seem to get the idea that walking the dogs in the road is an exceptionally bad idea - as is running up on them too close, too quickly.
@Totalanimefan: I have no idea how they don't know those types of things, yet we've had it happen repeatedly (and not by the same person/people) either. Or one of my favorites - golf carts flying down the sidewalk!!

Our dogs are 60# each and can be a little unpredictable, and they do not like being scared. We walk them down the sidewalk - technically, they are on the grass, we humans are on the sidewalk - but they are not dogs I want in the road or near the road

i'm not a dog lover. I'm a dog "please keep your distance because i don't want you in my space" person. I already take care of 90 pct of the chores in the house. I refuse to add dog
to that.
