you can post on the forums to gain volts, which is currency you can use to buy items - commons (in the shops) or other items (event items, monthly donation items, etc.) from the exchange
ohms are the premium currency and can be used to buy crates which are the monthly donation item. orbs are random item generators (rigs) and rotate out every few months
we have a newbie guide and item museum which i found helpful
also, you can click on the blimp on the front page for a daily freebie!
