@PoeticTorment: well thats the thing today is day 10. I was told after 10 days he can get the cone off cus he will be healed. But i think i'm going to wait til breakfast time to remove it cus .. well the cat shares a bed wit him and he hasn't groomed him self in 10 days so i don't think I'll be able to sleep with his loud grooming on my bed.

I mean if my phone was charged i could post a picture of his foot but every one says it looks horrible but i think it's due to the stitches cus in real life it looks 100% to me and my mom (had her look at his paw for her import... well actually i stole a line from one of my favorite books and asked her if she could look 'at his little hoovies woovies.' but yea she is with me it looks 100% minus the sitiches and poor hair cut )

My cat's name is Sheamus and Saturday, December 26th he went to Mass-RI Veterinary ER for stitches in his back left foot. I have been doing what the paper they have given me about his care. But then I stumbled on something. They had told me when I picked him up that due to his hellish attitude towards vets ( that i had warned them about) they put dissolving stitches in so they could take up to a month to disappear they just wanted to not have to put him under to remove the stitch when the dissolving ones would work. But his cone of shame (as us owners call it) has to be on for 10 days. I'm Just wondering it this means it needs to be on 10 days from Saturday (meaning the cone would come off Monday) or if it means 10 days after the stitches (meaning the cone would come off Tuesday). I just don't want to take it off to soon so i just want to double-check on what the 10 days meant.
Vet responses:
I would wait until Tuesday if you are able, just take a peek at it and see if it looks OK. (not obviously open or bleeding, etc.) If anything looks worrisome feel free to call or email us a picture before taking the cone off.

@PoeticTorment: I yelled at him once i am not sure if he was pulling his nail or the stitching. Cus i know when he cleans it's like he pulls his nails ... i'm not sure if all cats do it or just mine. but i'm not sure if he was doing that or stitches so i picked him up and booped him in the mouth going 'groom them off with your tongue no pulling. You pull we might end up going back for more stitches'

@PoeticTorment: He has a scarching post down stairs and one in my bed room. like i said not sure if that was the nail he did it to or the stitches but either way i don't want him o rip them. My dad who had been home with him was like 'he was grooming for hours' and i was like he grooms in his dead sleep so its fine he also said he told him not to touch his bad paw and i was like 'no it's ok now if he does
