Any idea how to get red eyes (crafting project)

So i been watching saituki lately and corcheting. And as i croched while watching saiyuki i remebered I have a pound of white yarn (roughly made two small projects with it ) then i also remembered i had a dragon pattern to crochet.. Need less to say i gave the safety eyes but there either brown or black. ANy one know how to turn them red? (also sorry for bad grammar or spelling i'm on day 4 of a 6day work week so my energy is kind of low and brian really doesn't want to think)... Thank ins advance

@Kittyzilla: Couldn’t you paint them red? I’m not sure what type of paint it would take, but I’m guessing any paint that works well on plastics would work.

@Kittyzilla: Are they solid plastic or are they painted? And how transparent are they?
If they're painted you can remove the varnish and repaint them with acrylic then reseal them.
Sanding them down a bit and painting over then sealing them might work too.
And if the brown is light enough, you might beable to stain them with permanent marker in red.

@Kittyzilla: Yeah, try the 100% acetone. Or sand off the color. *^*
@Blixie: Or use a heavy-duty color nail polish could work too.

I'd suggest something like Mr. Clear and acrylic otherwise.

Allright i'll try that i might try giving my nephew a set to spray paint see how that works and i might try using just paint to see if that will work i never tired it with this kind of eye before so ^^ trail and error right?
