I was talking to my sister yesterday, and we got to talking about the things our parents used to tell us to get us out of their hair. I remembered one was that if you put salt on a bird's tailfeathers, it wouldn't be able to fly anymore. So, gullible kids that we were, we actually spent all day trying to put salt on a bird's tailfeathers lmao

technically my brother and sister told me this lie, but my parents supported them bc i was being annoying. ^^;;
back then, whenever i would whistle at night, my brother told me a really buff fairy named wendy would sneak into my room while i was sleeping and punch me in the mouth and steal my broken teeth. it was to try and stop me from bothering the neighbors with all the noise, but tbh i didn't really care at the time.

@scarabee: omg, that's so scary! I don't think I was ever told something of that caliber lmao
@Priestess of Pie: I wonder where it originates from? It seems pretty random!
@MoodyB: Dang! I've heard the one where a watermelon grows in your stomach, but never flat out dying! lmao
