Michael was... quite wary of Anya at the moment, but her offer seemed to cause him to second-guess himself. He scratched at his chin for a moment, before kicking Ash off to the side.

"Do it, then." he told her, handing her the halo and taking a few steps back.
'If she betrays me, I'll deal with her.' he thought.
'I have plenty more pawns to farm halos from.' he reasoned to himself.

Anya accepted the halo before smirking slightly, subtly, as she had her back to Michael and was approaching the beaten woman. As she had it in her hands, she weaved some webbing around and into it, causing it to change slightly, but nearly imperceptibly. She was using her position to her benefit.
