Jake merely sighed in response.

"Long story short, I was attacked." he told her.

"Ended up getting choked to the point of nearly blacking out." he went on.

"I'm already fine, expected to make a full recovery, but my throat and vocal chords will be fucked for a week more or so." he explained further, shaking his head slightly afterwards.

"I just sound worse than I am." he assured her, buzzing her through.

Jake laughed in response, before stopping and lightly clutching at his neck.

"Hurts to laugh..." he muttered.

"But yeah, I'll take care of myself." he told her.

"See you." he finished, before she was gone.

'...why didn't he answer...?' he then wondered. 'I was told she was there... hmmm.' he thought further.

"I really hope I'm just being paranoid..."

Again, there was silence, before she heard some mild cursing, some footsteps, and then saw the door crack open, and Bast's VERY unimpressed face peer out of it, looking pointedly at her.

"Yes?" he asked curtly, before SEEING her.

And then smiling.

"Why, hello there." he greeted her, his tone now silken.

"Can I help you?" he asked her.

Bast was silent for a moment, looking her up and down, before nodding.

"She's in here." he said, opening the door a little more so she could come in.

Kaia rolled her eyes and stepped inside, and as soon as she did, she saw her sister sitting on the couch, looking distressingly obedient, as though waiting for orders from someone.

"What the FU-" she started to exclaim, before Bast whirled her around and planted a kiss on HER lips.

He'd caught Kiah, and now he was going for Kaia.

He didn't care at the moment.

Bast just gave her a cocky grin.

"You're strong." he said.

"But I'M stronger." he told her.

"And I know you can feel it. The desire. The thoughts that everything would be better if you just surrendered all independent thought and succumbed to my influence." he went on.

"I promise I'll take care of you." he then said.

"Just like I'm taking care of your sister." he added, gesturing to Kiah.

Sebastien just laughed out loud when he heard that.

"My parents!?" he exclaimed.

"Mother would be most ecstatic to see that I am embracing my heritage as a demon! And I am amassing a wonderous group of lovers for myself. Quite frankly, I do her line PROUD!" he declared.

"And my father? Pah!" he then said dismissively. "As a Nephilim, and as one in the illustrious line of Lilith, herself, I do not care what the lowly HUMANS think of me." he told her further.

"You can struggle all you wish, berate me while you still can." he then chuckled.

"For you are already mine." he finished, stepping up closer towards her.

Bast's expression changed. It wasn't smug any longer. It was softer. He was still smiling, but he appeared to be THINKING about Jordan, and doing so seemed to bring some bit of serenity to him.

"Jordan... wonderful, perfect Jordan..." he said quietly, wistfully, trailing off at the end.

However, before she could think or say anything more, he continued.

"SHE will be my queen. My Platinum medal." he told Kaia.

"She will be at my side, as the one true special member." he went on, before looking back at Kaia, and smirking once more.

Sebastien just sighed quietly.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"IF she does." he said.

"She won't suspect me. Or maybe she will. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it." he reasoned.

"For now... for now, I want to enjoy the present. With you. And your sister. And Hazel. And soon, Rylie... and Alyssa as well..." he listed off, seemingly growing greedier and greedier with each name spoken.

She'd never seen him like this, it was as though his demonic half had taken over to the extreme... emphasis on extreme. He was acting like one would think he would, if someone that had HEARD of his kind had written about him.

Bast responded by merely grabbed her waist again and pulling her close.

"Enough talk." he said.

"Let's get down to business." he suggested. "Or pleasure. Either one." he laughed.

Jun looked around for a moment, scratching his head.

"...huh..." he mumbled, before going to where Vae was.

"Kaia back yet?" he asked her.

"I know she left to see her sister, but she said she'd be brief."

Jun nodded and grabbed his phone, dialing Kaia's number.

On the other side of things, Kaia's phone chimed, and Bast held it in his hand, before giving it to her.

"Answer it." he said.

"And act normal." he told her further.

"Don't say anything suspicious or anything." he added.
