@Wildfire: I've met some homeschooler moms here and they have all sorts of collections of books/lesson books. Wish we lived closer, i'd take em off your hands and give them to those moms. however, they have young ones still.

oh... the lack of a real pantry can be tough to work with. Our pantry is pretty small, so half of my "pantry" has ended up in the garage (which is just off the kitchen) or in the laundry room (between the kitchen and garage)... so I get what you're dealing with... and the creative solutions! I hope you find something that works well :3

Hummus and pita! I've been wanting to make hummus for the last week and just haven't gotten there.

Let's see - I've had brie & baguette and an egg this morning, then part of an "asian" chicken rollup thing that I bought for lunch. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to make for dinner now.

@koneko: oh! Those kinds of things often seem to work out really well for extra pantry or storage space. I doubt it will hold your microwave, though. Maybe there's something similar available through Ikea or some other store in your area?
