Well, I guess it was more like two or three days ago at this point. |D

But, I fell down a minor internet rabbithole recently and learned about Hydras (not the Hydra of Lerna for which it's named). And they seem pretty neat! Reading about their tendrils and imagining them up close was a bit unsettling. It's probably for the best that these creatures, and others like it, are so tiny!
Here's to hoping that the public can soon reap some benefits derived from the natural characteristics of these amazing little leggy grills!

Reading about the way they hunt and eat kinda gave me the heebie-jeebies, especially considering they're technically visible to the naked eye (up to 1cm in length iirc) so it's harder to 'ignore' than, say, bacteria...
