I felt like freeze dried fruit is used mostly for camping or in a drink, but I've never come across anything I really wanted to try. My sibling went camping with freeze dried eggs and said they nearly hurled the first time they tried it.
I might be remembering this wrong, but it felt like a decade ago, there was a big boom for freeze dried ice cream.

@Justice: I also am not the biggest fan of the texture but I do like it sometimes. Most of the time I would rather have dried fruit. ^^

@MimikyuToo: I'm sure you know it about by now but there are pills that you can take and they work for lactose intolerance. I have it too. Those pills are a life saver!
@Justice: I only have dates sometimes, but I do keep them around. Mango is so dangerous for me cause I can eat the whole bag before you know it.
