Welcome, welcome! A long time ago, in a website far far away, I used to spend my days in a cafe-themed hangout thread with a chaotic amount of roleplaying and a vague sense of cohesive conversation. Those days are gone, but I thought I would try to carve out a corner to recreate the camaraderie and escapism that flourished on forums of yore. Pull up a seat, grab a beverage, and lets hang out. Let me know if you've read any good books lately, or if you've taught yourself something new just for the joy of it.

Honestly, I only pop in every once in a while because it has become even more of a ghost town than it was when I first got here, and its a bit tricky to hold a conversation over the course of several months (which seems to be the visitation rate of anybody else).

I'm curious that you say this place has returned, was it more barren previously?

It used to be really lively in the beginning. But then things happened, drama, and the site went dark. Afterwards it was awkward being around and for a moment, the site was shut down. I didn't even realize it had come back. It's been so long, I've really missed this place. The art, the people, my friends.

Oh interesting, I feel like the site-wide drama is pretty common in smaller communities like forums. I had no idea it had been shut down for a while, I must not have been here for that part of the history.

The community of forums is so hard to find anywhere else. Social media sites just don't have the same feel, and art was always such a big element of forums that doesn't seem to be as pertinent in any other setting. In the same vein as art, I will say I miss the element of roleplay that seemed to come specifically with avatar forums, it was a fun quirk of the experience.
