I'm curious. What are y'all's go tos for headaches and/or migraines besides pain medicine and water? I usually go for the "curl up and die" option. Sometimes I'll do a classic lemon tea, or sob into the cat's fur. I once heard, and tried, to relieve a sinus headache with pressure points. (Think it was the skin between thumb and index finger?)

Usually whenever I get a headache, I either tug on my hair from the base of my scalp and on both sides (strange I know, but it works for me, and it's a 50% chance of it working!) or I take a nap whenever I have spare time and have nothing going on today, and sleeping it off always works, though I only do it when the headache is bothering me for too long and if I'm not doing any work. I also drink a lot of water because there's times when I forget to hydrate properly and that's usually the cause of my headaches.

If anyone plans on trying to relieve headaches or migraines with the hair pulling method, it can be pulled gently or a little rough, depending on how people can handle the ouchies. But don't pull the hairs out, last thing you want is to lose a hundred hair follicles in the process!

Also be sure to hydrate, especially when it's hot outside or if you spend a lot of time outdoors!

@WretroughWorld: I tug my hair lightly, too, but I don't think I've ever done it purposely for headache relief. More tension relief, and you're right that it can help in the moment... I'll see if your technique will work for me next time I get one! I think I finally managed to sleep it off, which usually is my fail safe. Thanks for sharing! :) I love "weird" tips!

I get random migraines around once a month due to a condition I had brain surgery for a few years back. Unfortunately it's a chronic condition so while it won't get any worse, it also won't get any better. While waiting for the sweet solace of my drugs and sleep to kick in, I swear by the TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap. Here's a link to it on Amazon if you have the extra money to splurge, but I'm sure also any cold or frozen t-shirt or wash cloth would work as well. Having that freezing thing around my head, forehead, and eyes really does something for me.

@Reanna: Oh, damn! That thing looks amazing, especially for when I get aural migraines. Mine are also chronic, usually more scheduled, but this was one was a standalone that went away relatively quickly. That cap looks amazing! Thank you so much for the link and suggestion! I'll probably get one sometime. It sounds like a game changer.
