@Lady Luna: ooo ouch! I don't have one if those. You're talking about the thick part near the entrance of your ear? I have a helix piercing but it didn't hurt becaude my cartilage up top is supposedly really thin.

@nyreen: Mine hurt like hell.
I actually have had mine pierced multiple times, both ears, but I only have 1 hole left.
I've had an industrial in both, but my ears weren't so good for those, so I let 'em grow in and put a hoop in the one I kept.
