I don't know why either. But the SHORT and PETITE sizes are too long for me because I have to get a bigger size for my stomach. And the ONE store where I found extra-short jeans that fit me great...NO LONGER SELLS XS! Like whyyyyy?

@Panda: Nope. Most stores literally don't sell that size at all. Any store that does sell it has a miserable selection, even online.
