When I said that 10 is the most common card value, I meant that you can think about it as if the dealer always has a 10 facedown. With 14, 15, or 16, they'll have to hit and bust about half the time. But if they have 17 or higher, they'll stay on that.
@Theory: So always assume the card drawn will be 10?
Assume the facedown card is a 10. So Vanora's current hand is 14. Her draw could be anything, but the only way she beats us is if it's 4, 5, 6, or 7.

@Angelus: Nah, that's how I think about it too. I don't have the strategy chart memorized so the "add 10" rule usually works. :)
