I can imagine that it would. I mean I'm not an artist, but I can never focus when I'm darn near roasting my butt off.
I'm not a great artist or anything, but I do like to draw when I can.

I have no artistic ability at all. But I am a writer, so there's that.
I love to write also! Though I don't have enough self discipline to write novels. For now I will just stick with RPs. ^_^

I'm actually working on a novel series with one of my friends currently. It's still in the early stages of development, but it's coming along pretty well. RPs are nice and quite fun too though.

Oh yeah, I've gotten a few ideas from dreams as well. So I always make sure to note down my ideas.
It's going to be a YA modern fantasy/paranormal series about a world that is much like our own, but instead of being populated by humans, it's populated by supernatural beings like angels, demons, faeries, witches, vampires, werewolves, etc. Then, one day, a human finds his way through the portals between the supernatural world and the human world and basically throws everything out of balance.
And so true!

Sorry for the delay, and well I still get a lot of ideas. But I don't feel that every idea I get is actually worthy of it's own story at this point. Like I may include in a bigger piece, but I'm a bit "pickier" about what I want to make official.
And thanks, I'm super excited to getting started on it even more. It's going to be at least four books long by the looks of things. Probably longer.
