I prefer home made gifts because they came from the heart and its tough having to buy sooo many expensive gifts all the time.
Home-made can definitely be cheaper.

@okios: Part of me would be like "oh no, I can not possibly take this money" but a larger part of me would be like "You got me food/bills? Thats the best gift anyone could hope for."
I agree with Okios, cash is the best gift but I am don't have much so instead of giving people pennies I usually make them something by hand. I do prefer recieving cash though :vanora_xd:

I'm honestly good with either. Homemade I like, but it's more of just an appreciation if it's something the lay will break the first time. You touch it, or just looks bad.i freaking love homemade things that someone actually put effort into.

@okios: did that for my brother once. I folded them into butterflies, because he hates butterflies.
As long as it's a gift that you know someone likes either would be fine to me. Like I had a friend who hates music besided gregorian music. So I bought him a double cd with gregorian music. You had no idea how happy he was.
