“Hm…” Treat narrowed her eyes as she gazed into the distance, watching as two figures seemed to whisper to each other. A frown pursed on her lips, but the thoughts of this immortal witch were interrupted as Vanora Aria and Vivienne Harper came up to greet her, “Ah. Hello children.”
“Treat!” Vanora smiled warmly, “It’s been a while!”
“Yes. One year, exactly.”
“Aha.. Yeah… W-Well hey! We’re glad you’re back!” Vivienne nodded encouragingly as she clapped her hands together, “Are you excited about your big day? I hope Trick keeps a better eye on his gift this year!”
“Hmph,” The Witch scoffed, “He had better, such a mess he stirred up last year… Say. What exactly do you know of those two?” She asked, signalling towards the figures.
“Hm? Io and Lin right? They own the circus…” Vanora offered.
Treat scoffed once more, “Don’t be foolish, I know this. I’ve agreed to perform the ritual here, after all. But something about them… Hm.” She narrowed her eyes once more, her eyes lingering over Io, “They’ve been whispering a lot since I’ve arrived… Do they not seem odd?”
Tapping her chin, Vivienne tilted her head curiously, “I think the little one is shy… He rarely ever leaves his tent. They do seem really close though, don’t they?” She smiled.
Giving them one more once over, Treat sighed with a roll of her eyes, “Well, they could at least be polite and greet me… Come along now, if you have the time to chat, you have the time to help me prepare myself for the ceremony this evening.” Turning on her heels, she walked off ahead, already assuming the girls would follow her to her dressing room.
