"..." Savra was silent as Eke said this, before getting closer.

"I don't want to talk about things like that." they told him.

"It's too depressing." they said.

"Can we just enjoy the here and now?" they then asked him.

"Sorry. Its been weighing on my mind lately" he said befor suddenly pulling Savra into a one arms hug around the neck

"Dont worry. Im sure Ryker has something really fun planned for us!" he said grinning.

"Oh! We should go clothes shopping for you! You could get a jacket like mine!"

Savra returned the embrace, and when Eke said that they would get a jacket like his, their eyes lit up with excitement.

"R-really!?" they exclaimed.

"You... you mean it?" they asked him. "I would get to wear things like yourself?" they asked further.

This was hardly a surprising response, though. Those like Savra were generally seen as below those like Eke, and it was considered an honour to wear anything vaguely similar to what a dragon did.

They then paused for a moment, and thought about their reaction.

"Wait... is that reaction appropriate?" they asked, unsure if Eke would be comfortable with it.

Eke just laughed.

"Of course! These things are super comfortable!" he said dismissing the question of wether his response was okay.

"Well get you a whole wardrobe of clothes. Youll have the pick of the lot" he said getting into the rv.

"I have a superpower" he teased chuckling

Savra's eyes lit up with amazement and awe when Eke said the last bit.

"R-really?" they asked.

"That's... that's amazing!" they exclaimed, following Eke into the vehicle.

"You're truly amazing! You're such a wonderful person!" they finished, before realising that they weren't in public view any longer, and reverting back to their bipedal form.

He winked and grinned.

"Yep! only failed once!" he said sitting down.

"I bet you i can get your clothes for half price" he said grabbing some candy and tossing it into his mouth.

After a huge meal like that, it was amazing he could still snack

Savra didn't really say anything in response, and just jumped up beside Eke, laying their front half down in his lap, just as Ryker stepped into the vehicle and smiled.

"All right." he said.

"Onward." he commented.

"You both full?" he asked.

"Mmhmm." Savra responded quietly.

"...and you're still snacking." Ryker then said to Eke, with a hearty laugh.

Eke grins.

"Of course" he said winking and taking a bite of candy.

"Its not filling." he said and pet Savra gently.

"Such pretty fur" he said gently and leaned back.

He was quiet staring out the window with a smile. "Ryker...?"

Eke could feel Savra get comfortable, and could sense that they were falling asleep. Or, at the very least, they would be dozing for a little bit. Much like a dog or cat would.

Ryker, meanwhile, had put the keys in the ignition, and had started up the car. He had been about to pull away, when Eke addressed him while looking out the window.

"Yeah?" he responded.

"What's up?" he asked.

"AFter the store...can we go home?" he asked looking over.

"I miss Aly, and i want them to meet Savra..." he said smiling.

"I know we havent been on the road long but...i miss home"

Ryker was silent for a moment... before he sighed, smiled, and nodded.

"Yeah, sure." he said.

"After the store, we'll head home." he told him.

"Not gonna be a short trip, though." he then warned. "We'll need to camp out for a few nights along the way, but we should be back well within a week." he promised.

"3 days at most, if we minimize stops and rest breaks."

"Guess i didnt miss the travel las much as i thought" he said stretching.

"Or maybe i did and i just didnt as much as i thought"

"Whatever, it's cool." he said.

"Your reasons are your reasons." he told him.

"Have to admit one thing, though." he then said.

"If it hadn't been for this trip, you wouldn't have made your new friend." he finished with a smile.

"It'll make the time pass more quickly." he reasoned.

"We'll only make stops for food, restrooms, and to sleep for the night." he told him.

"I don't want Savra to have the impression I don't like them. It's not true. So if it'll help, I'll accompany you both." he continued.

"I...dont feel like i do really...i feel...bogged down by the reality of it all" he said

"I was thinking while we were eating...that im happy savras in my life....but" he pauses a moment.

"Hes over a hundred and ill be...lucky to see 30...im going to leave them...you...aly...everyone all alone" he said looking at Ryker.

"Its...hard to get that off my mind and i feel bad, guilty over something i cant control" he added looking at Savra.

"I miss being fun. I miss not worrying about it all. Im only 16...and yet i...cant stop worrying"
