Jake raised an eyebrow when Anya showed him the 'real' her.

"Huh." he said.

"Interesting." he said further.

"Exotic." he then said even further with a sly smirk.

"But thank you for trusting me with that information." he told her.

"It means a lot."

Jake just laughed in response.

"Ok, fair enough." he said.

"Tit for tat and all that." he said further.

He then paused when she said what she did, warning him about webbing.

"Uh.... all right...." he said.

"You mean... any and all webbing?" he asked her.

"Also, why?" he asked further.

"....intriguing. Interesting." Jake responded.

"Such terminology makes me curious." he admitted.

"But I am not stupid." he assured her.

"So I will be careful." he went on.

"There anything else you wish to know?" he asked.

"Anything else you'd like me to share?"

Jake was silent for a moment, before smirking. It wasn't subtle at all, and she knew what it meant.

"Very." he replied.

"When someone asked a question involving their flexibility, then it garners my attention, and it holds it." he told her.

"To that end... let's test out this confidence of yours." he went on.

"And, in turn, I'll show you how tough I am." he offered.

"Sound like a deal?" he asked her, the smirk having never left his face.

Jake just groaned, and fumbled with the phone a bit, before answering it.

"Hello?" he grunted.

"...oh. Oh, geez, sorry, boss." he then said, looking at the clock on the endtable.

"I completely lost track of-" he continued, before he paused suddenly.

"Well... ok, yes, I'm not feeling 100%. I'm drained and tired, and pretty sore." he said further.

".....yeah, using a sick day is probably best. You sure?" he then asked, before nodding.

"Thanks for understanding." he finished, before he said goodbye and ended the call.

Jake set the phone down, and sighed heavily.

"Been working at that place a looooong time." he told her.

"And I've taken less than 10 sick days during my entire career there." he went on.

"Everything's good." he assured her.

"And... well... yeah. I am." he chuckled.

"Notice I didn't say I was technically, actually sick." he went on. "I merely described sick-like symptoms." he said further.

"Not that I actually think I fooled my boss, but it's like an unspoken understanding, I suppose."

"Good to know." Jake replied.

"And yeah, I DO have a sweet set up at my work." he told her.

He then paused for a moment, before snapping his fingers.

"Ah, right." he said.

"I should probably tell you WHERE I work." he told her, reaching over the side of the bed and flipping open a mini-fridge that had been sitting on the floor, revealing a considerably large range of drinks.

"But first, care for something to wet your whistle?" he asked her.
