The lobby is an open area spotted with furniture. A quick once-over at all the windows and
doors reveals that they're all barred off. Seems like exit isn't really an option.

Kokichi doesn't exactly get the warmest reception.

" Oh, okaerinasai, Kokichi! I'm glad you're safe! You were gone for felt like hours, I was about to go looking for you. "
Athena rises from her seat and hugs Kokichi!

Luna turns her head to the people entering the lobby. She rises from the seat she is in.
"O-oh Kokichi, I'm glad you have returned. I was worried something had happened to you..."

Layton had just been examining the bars over one of the windows. He gives a tip of his hat towards Edgeworth and Kokichi as a welcome back to the lobby area.
Apollo kinda speaks up when Kokichi asked Luna if anyone has come in.
"No one new has come in since you left. I'm assuming that the white haired girl you are talking about was with you before? Mr.Top hat and I tried to see about opening some of these barred windows and doors but it doesn't seem like they are budging any. What a waste of time."

The lobby erupts into chatter and Vera observes in quiet resignation, scratching a single line into her sketchbook repeatedly.
It's for the best: things got chaotic fast, and the quieter she is, the less she'll add into the mess.
