My bf and I just got a shiny new InstantPot pressure cooker and we are in LOVE.

He's currently researching new recipes and stuff to make in one .. it's a slow cooker, rice cooker, pressure cooker and more all in one haha. We made a pot roast in it yesterday and it was amazinggg.

Do you guys have any fave recipes to make in these?

@peachy: ha, hopefully we'll use it for more but we'll see!

@tuijp: that was one of my concerns too but they have a lot of safety things built in - if the pressure ever gets too high it'll just blow steam from one of the vents first!

@glume: will do! i should have an instant pot megathread or something later on haha

@vermii: yeah! it replaces a slow cooker and can even "slow cook" stuff in 4x speed. it's amazing.

@totalanimefan: ooh that's a good idea. we've just been browsing the internet but a physical book is probably a good idea too

@octology: ooh! i am definitely down to try the mac n' cheese, i've been craving it for ages tbh. we'll also probz check out the cabbage rolls at some point! (next weekend we are making sushi with Instant Pot rice haha so it's kind of on-theme!)

(also yes we are planning meals that far in advance because sushi is an Endeavor, plus it's his birthday!)

@kozi: it's not scary at all! i was a little nervous at first but the steam release is built to let steam out if it ever gets TOO pressurized. the only scary thing is that you can burn yourself on the steam so you gotta be really careful when you do release it but so far it's been good to us. :D
