@KairoSama: Currently you can contact a moderator if you'd like your thread/topic to be "deleted." We'd still have access to the topic and could even undelete it - it's similar to moving a computer file to another folder or recycling bin. Development wise it may be possible to make this an option on the users end without needing to contact staff. So yes, "deleted" topics do still count towards the post goal as they are not truly deleted.
