I had to stop wearing a specific coat my mother gave me because security guards would be watching me when I was wearing it. I guess it was the kind of coat people like to stuff things in when they shoplift. :/
Sorry that happened to you. ): I used to work at Sephora, and I went to shop at a different one than the one I worked at. On my days off, I wouldn’t wear make up and dressed waaaay down because comfort, and this one worker asks me if I need help (as they’re supposed to), I politely said no, I’m good. A few minutes later, one of my old managers who was relocated to this location came out and was like GIRL, WE THOUGHT YOU WERE A THIEF, GOOD THING I WAS HERE. Blew my mind how the workers came to that conclusion based on that interaction and probably what I wore. You’re not alone~
