I say this having spent like $70 on the super special collector's edition of Mania ;w;
they haven't aged well into modern gaming and it just kinda sucks. The old classic model works so well though, and Mania is a love letter to classic Sonic.

Oh and at E3 I think it was there were tons of youtubers who got to play the new Sonic forces game which said it was terrible too ... so I'm just waiting for it to be released to see for myself because I thought it looked cool I just don't want to be disappointed :/

but they get plagued with bad loading times, bizarre glitches that should not have passed QA testing/been released, and just .. man.
it hurts me because I was a HUUUGE Sonic fan as a kid. Honestly, like, why I draw to this day. So I feel like I kinda have to get the new one but I never had any high hopes lmao.
Meanwhile, I knew Sonic Mania would be a treasure and it really is. <3 <3 <3

@addy: no I totally get you ! I'm that way with some stuff too! But who knows maybe it will turn out incredible and since you're already a fan maybe it'll be one of the best ? The Sonic mania did look amazing . Classic games are always pretty lit .

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were early in 3D platforming so some of their glitches and mistakes were forgivable because it's still kind of a new thing, and they were AMBITIOUS - they did stuff that wasn't really in other platformers at the time (gravity manipulation, going THAT FAST, stuff like that), so it was water under the bridge
But then they didn't like.. improve on it. lol. They seemed to think that was good enough and just pushed those games out the door. ;o;
