There was silence for about 5 seconds, before she heard him.

"Oh, hey!" Cecil called back from the den area.

"I'm in the den!" he said.

"I'll come and get the food in a minute!" he added.

There was something to his tone. Something... weird. It sounded like worry or concern.

Cecil looked over towards her, and smiled slightly.

"That's nice of you." he said.

"But I'm worried because of this." he told her.

He then moved his laptop so that the screen was facing Sierra, and she could see he was on an internet news site, mostly meant for mages and non-humans.

And there was a headline that was particularly troubling:

OVER 25 PEOPLE MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEAR. UNKNOWN SOURCE OR METHOD. MASS PANIC BREWING. it read.

"I'll try." Cecil replied.

"I mean, I can't just hide away like a hermit because of this. I need to go out and such." he told her.

"But I mean...yeah, I'll try and be careful." he said.

He then sighed and shook his head.

"Anyway, how are you doing?" he asked her.

"How have things been for you?" he asked further.

"Worried." Cecil replied.

"There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the disappearances." he said.

"...it's frightening." he commented further.

"It makes me wonder who could be next..." he then went on, looking away some.

"What if they came after YOU?" he asked her.

"I don't want anything to happen to you." he told her.

"You're really nice, and you gave me a roof to live under, and a nice room, and you sometimes bring me food, and I don't want anything to happen to you."

"....that's true." Cecil replied.

"......" he was then silent, and seemed to be thinking about something.

"....oh!" he exclaimed, snapping his fingers.

"One second." he said.

"I need to get something for you." he told her, standing up.

"I'll be back in a couple minutes. You all right just sitting here until then?" he asked her.

"No, go ahead." Cecil replied.

With that, he quickly made his way up to his room, and shut the door behind him.

".....she's definitely different." he muttered.

"Yes, she's definitely someone to make use of." he added, his tone darker than usual.

He then made his way to a drawer, and took out a small stack of bills, which was his rent. As he grabbed them, they seemed to be enveloped in a dark purple aura of translucent purple, with definite hints of red to it. After a second, the aura seeped into the money, and he smirked.

"Excellent."

When she had her little episode, she ended up knocking one of the scrubbing brushes off the table, which made a low clacking sound as it hit the floor.

The noise had not gone unnoticed, and it just so happened that Ilias was nearby, making his inventory rounds.

He poked his head into the room she was in, and raised an eyebrow.

"...Mira?" he addressed her.

"You all right?" he asked.

"...." Ilias was silent, before he rushed forward.

"Mira!" he exclaimed as he got close and allowed her to use him for balance.

"Oh geez, you look ready to keel over." he said.

"Come on, let's get you to the Medical Wing." he suggested.

"How do you feel?" he asked. "I know you said you're not feeling so hot, but what in specific seems to be wrong?" he asked further.

"Anything particularly bad or off?" he finished.

All the while, he couldn't help but feel almost alarmed at how bad she was looking. She seriously looked ready to just keel over and die, which he would never forvige himself if he allowed that to happen.

As soon as they finally reached the Medical Wing, they were greeted by one of the staff there.

"What seems to be the issue?" they were asked.

Mira responded with how she felt... at least, the larger ones, which caused the staff member to look surprised and concerned.

"Another one?" they mumbled quietly.

"Another one...?" Illias asked them.

"Yes, Agent King is here, and is complaining about very similar symptoms." was the response given.

"Come on, let's get you to a room." they then said, as they started to escort Mira to a room.

Ty looked over towards Mira, and nodded slightly.

"....yep." he replied.

"Just... really feel like hell." he said.

"Almost collapsed to the floor on the way here, too." he then told her.

"Seriously, I feel like a good vomit would help me feel better, but... I just can't bring myself to. I have no desire to, and just... yeah." he muttered.

"Not sure it even WOULD help, admittedly." he then sighed.
