Unfortunately wiki says "Indiscriminate eradication of mosquitoes is likely to have effects undesirable to humans. Entomologist Phil Lounibos of Florida Medical Entomological Laboratory (FMEL), Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), University of Florida, says that eradication "is fraught with undesirable side effects", as mosquitoes are a significant food source for birds and bats and, as larvae, fish and frogs, parts of the food chain affecting many species. If mosquitoes are eradicated, they may also be replaced by other species, possibly more undesirable."
Well that sucks balls.
Wasps I guess?
Honestly deer flies are pretty bad.
Luckily they haven't emerged here just yet, but I'm dreading when it'll be that time.
Please don't, those bites hurt.
Oh I know. They are mostly at farms here and, as a kid who lived in a farmer's town, I met a few of them.
More or less same.
Sitting in my garden again and all sorts of birds are hopping around. They're coming closer and closer to me.
good morning to you all

I have finally come up with a successful way of keeping Eliot from destroying this mouse. I tied the old one to my chair as a decoy.
Years ago when I was raising a litter of kittens, they loved playing on my laptop. So I took an old one and let them play on it, figured that decoy trick would work again.
I'm just happy that Eliot is being calm and behaving right now.
