I am reading right now that first people have to leave there home already because of the tropical storm.

Thank you, and yeah we were under flood warning and stuff all last night. It turned at the last minute, so we didn't get the brunt of it. :3
We were prepared anyway.
Food, water, lanterns/flash lights, books, so on and so forth.
We once had storm as well when I was younger. Power went off so my dad got the flashlight. And then we said "And that's all we have". I then reminded him I had an alarmclock/radio on batteries in my room. So we took it down and put on our local radio station.
A few years ago our power was out for a week. That sucked.
Things got very very stinky. Because if you're hooked up to well water, that is brought in by electricity. So no power. No water.
Sadly no. We just kept all the doors and windows open.
