@Angelus: in this shop, the first 4 are the items you need to buy withthe currency. With those items, you can make the other 4.
For example, if you want to make the mistletoe, you need 2 cardboard, 2 paint and 2 ribbons. You buy those 6 items and click on the mistletoe.
Then, under the items you need, is a button to exchange the items you need for the mistletoe.
