When my dad was in the hospital years back I ended up sending him a pic of our dog and then he started crying. He missed the dog so bad. And then when he was able to go outside for a bit we bought the dog along.
She wouldn't be able to handle a car ride that long. My uncle is going roughly 4-5 hours away.

When I was in the hospital for my stomach a year ago, I couldn't walk to the front door of the hospital until a week after surgery
He won't be able to walk at all. For a while...a long while.
