Do you like horror that's like bloody and has some torture in it?
[ Not really. My favorite horror novel is The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, which is about 'ghost hunters' staying at a famously haunted house. It's written in such a way that you don't know if the ghosts are real, or if they're in the head out of our mentally ill protagonist. The book very loosely inspired the Netflix of the same name. Their next season will be inspired by Turn of the Screw, so I have to actually finish that book.]
Ah okay, I was going to recommend a series but it has a lot of blood and torture in it.

[ Uh it's a high fantasy series about a girl who's the strongest magic user in three realms. It's far more interesting than I make it sound. She has to destroy a woman and her terrible influence on the realms. ]
