Ah, we don't really have to worry about fleas here. Mostly ticks and since we live near a lot of fields and not near the forest there aren't that many so we can just pick them of when we notice them.

Getting ticks over you? Aren't they attached to the animals? You mean there are so many they can just pick up a bunch and spread them around?
[ Ticks will release and go to a new host every once and a while. Sometimes they aren't attached to skin. And the mushrooms around here are poisonous, but we do get wild blackberries that are yummy. ]With Ozzy, you can’t really see any ticks because his fur is too thick

We don't have any conveniently located wild ones but we do have one in our garden. Not time for those yet.
But the gooseberry bushes are soon ripe at least.
