Dom looked over towards the phone.

"...eh?" he muttered.

"........" he was then silent, before his eyes opened wide.

"Sydney." he said.

"I'd answer that if I were you." he told her.

"...odds are it'll be something VERY important."

"Lady Sherwood, you don't know me, but I have information for you." a male voice responded.

Then, before she could speak, he gave an address, as well as the coordinates for the address.

"Desiree and Kalin are safe, but the hunter gang is due to notice their disappearance any minute now." he warned. "If you want to strike now and take them down, do it NOW." he said further.

"Be quick, or you'll lose your opening for a surprise attack."

"....why?" a male voice asked.

"Dominick at least had a good reason for disappearing." he said.

"Why did I disappear? Because I'm a damn fool that doesn't know how to take care of his family." he responded.

"My wife and son are dead, and it's my fault for leaving and not making sure things didn't turn out this way." he went on.

"Why would she even want to see me, anyway?" he then asked.

"Why would she want to see the eyes of one that couldn't protect her when she needed it the most?"

"Oh, I'm sure she cares." Marcus responded.

"I mean, I'd be surprised if she wasn't at least curious as to why I abandoned her." he went on.

"....." he was then silent for a moment, his voice growing quieter suddenly, but still loud enough that Kalin could hear what he was saying. Barely, but she could.

"Am I even worth it, Rocky?" he asked.

"Is someone like me even worthy of the chance to try and make things right?" he asked further.

"Isn't it better for everyone if I remain a shadow of her past?"

".....Rocky..." Marcus muttered.

"I'm scared." he told her.

"I'm scared to face her." he said.

"How can I look her in the eyes? How can I speak to her?" he asked.

"...What if she hates me even more?" he asked further.

"Can I deal with that?"

Marcus didn't seem to react at first.

"Ah, so you're awake." he commented.

"...." he was then silent for a moment, pondering what she had said.

"....she did?" he asked.

"Like... she really did?" he asked her.

"Does she still wish to, or has that passed...?"

"................" Marcus was silent for a long moment.

"I see." he said.

"..." he was silent again, wringing his hands a little, and then sighed heavily.

"Well, we need to wait." he then said.

"Just... it'll be a bit before Desiree is fully cured of the Daisies." he reasoned.

"It should be completely out of her system at least."

Marcus just smiled softly.

"I can always count on Rocky." he told her.

"No matter what, she has what I need, and what will help." he said.

"When Desiree wakes up, she'll be feeling like she has a bit of a hangover, but she'll be just fine." he assured Kalin.

"Also, I apologise for not acting sooner, and leaving you to get as bad as you did." he then said to her.

"You were pushed to your limit, and didn't have much time left." he went on.

"But I needed to make sure I could get you both out unnoticed."

Marcus shook his head.

"Nothing." he replied.

"Seriously. I don't do what I do for rewards." he told her.

"I do it because it's right." he said.

"...." he was then silent, and sighed heavily.

"But I can see you're one of those types that won't accept that for an answer." he commented, before starting to seriously think about something.

"To be honest, I'm not sure about repayment." he admitted.

Marcus just sighed again, but there was a smile to this one.

"Well, a favour is always handy." he said.

"And there's nothing I can do about your wallet, I'm sorry." he apologised.

"It's probably still at their hideout." he went on.

"And odds are one of the people there will find it after their attack."
