In case ye didn't know, International Talk Like A Pirate Day is September 19th
Here be the history of thee day.

oi greatly enjoy talkin like a pirate and I want all of ye to join me.
So all hands on deck, get ye pirate garb on.

Hope me treasure (prize) isn't too meager.
1st place in the avatar contest is 5 items from the treasure chest.
Runner up just gets two items from the treasure chest after the first place picks.
(oi also be willing to draw what ye want if ye be not interested in treasure.)
