Zeke sighed quietly, and walked over towards them.

"Hey." he said. "It's okay." he told her.

"We'll be taking you somewhere that he can't get you." he assured her.

"I promise you'll be safe." he continued.

"And we'll find this Riley. We'll find him and make him face justice for this." he finished, anger in his tone, as his angelic DNA flared with rage.

"...indeed." Zeke said.

"...speaking of Sharp, hope he's taking this all right." he then muttered as he directed some people.

"Hope he's not freaking out over Lunet." he continued.

"...and I hope Lunet's okay as well." he then said further.

"...odds are she'll have some scars from this place."

She wasn't waiting for long, about 10 seconds, before she received a reply.

Be there in a few minutes. Hal responded.

Why? What's going on? she then received.

Is it about Lunet? the following text inquired.

Even though it was through the medium of words. Simple words in short messages, Angela could sense the anxiety and concern in them.

Hal was worried about his daughter. Plain and simple.

There was silence for a moment, and Angela had the forethought to mute her phone, because... sure enough... Hal tried to call. She let her phone vibrate for a moment, before denying the call and sending a text.

She's asleep, and I am NOT letting anyone wake her. she told him.

Then I will be there in less than a minute. was what she received.

And again, sure enough, Hal was a man of his word, and he was IN the medical wing in less than a minute. Closer to 30 seconds, more likely.

He made his way through the corridors, until he found where Lunet and Angela were, freezing when he saw her injuries.

And Angela saw that he was starting to become livid. Quickly.

"......" Hal was silent for a moment, before sighing.

"All right." he said.

"Fair point." he admitted.

"But listen, I want information." he then told her.

"What's wrong? What happened to her?" he asked her.

"How badly was she hurt?"

"............" Hal was silent again, before sighing.

"Well. At least there's that." he said.

"Have to speak to her when she wakes up." he reasoned.

"That building needs to be demolished, too." he then said further.

"Razed to the ground." he growled.

"Then I will do so." Hal replied.

"Notify me as SOON as she wakes up." he told her.

"I do not care the time, or day, or anything." he went on.

"Once she is awake, I WILL come here post-haste." he continued.

"...take good care of her, Angela." he then added quietly.

"Good." was all Hal replied with, before he left, needing to get some other things done.

Sure enough, after time had passed and Lunet woke up, Hal was contacted.

And he showed up within the minute of being contacted.

He quickly made his way to the room that Lunet was in, poking his head in after knocking.

"Lunet?" he addressed his daughter, concern in his tone.

"....." Hal was silent, making his way closer and wrapping his arms around her.

"Sweetie, thank heavens you're okay." he said.

"I'm sorry this happened to you." he apologised.

"But you're safe here. You're all right now." he continued, before pausing.

"...or are you?" he then muttered.

"How are you feeling, Lunet?" he asked her.

Hal just smiled at his daughter, even though she couldn't see it.

"Yeah. Yeah, you did." he said.

"...." he was then silent, before placing his hands on hers.

"You're a tough one." he told her.

"How did this happen?" he then asked.

"Cain was supposed to be looking out for you."
