@Queen of Trash: It's good that you have different interests and that you (apparently) respect each other's! <3
My husband watches some bizarre stuff... I just ... don't have the patience for it? I'd rather spend my time on things that uplift than dwell in the darkness, and frankly, I find much "horror" just... gory for the sake of being gory. Gore is different from horror, IMO. But it's amazing how many people don't seem to understand that (& yes, I know who I'm talking to; it's not meant as a criticism, really - just my personal observations and opinion). At least if it's suspenseful and has a plot, I'm pretty good with it. That said, I really love the Evil Dead... but probably because it doesn't take itself seriously at all but it's still very entertaining IMO

@vengeance: How? What separates them from American (or other cultures') horror?

@Wildfire: Yeah, I actually really like the plot within the Saw movies, not just the gore, even though they are gory. I don't think they're as gory as people make them out to be though.
I love me a good slasher flick though.

@Queen of Trash: I'm probably pretty biased at this point... I'm honestly not willing to give too many of these movies a chance simply because I've been so disappointed by so many before...

But again, if it's your thing, go for it! <3

@Wildfire: Asian horror movies are more slow-paced, gripping, and more spine-chilling. With most Asian horror movies you also cannot leave for let's say 15 minutes and then come back. You will miss part of the story and it will leave you confused.

But 'tis the season... I'll look at that list you posted and see..... maybe.......

@Queen of Trash: True. Just like with everything else, really - "oh, too much love interest"... "oh, not enough love interest"... "not enough fighting/drama"... "too much..."

Asian action, triller and horror movies for me. + Disney movies.
However I do like a Asian comedy/drama sometimes. Antique Bakery is Such an amazing Korean comedy.

@Queen of Trash: Right. Whereas I tend to read before going to sleep, so I don't want to read something that's going to slip into my subconscious and freak me the hell out at 3am! (like this morning when I woke at 6am to a dream of being bitten by a rattlesnake)

@vengeance: wow. Where are you finding these things and why haven't I heard of them?

@Queen of Trash: No, they're really not. Hubby was awake, in bed reading when I woke to this dream. I (playfully) smacked him "why didn't you save me?" He LOLed!
