I really miss Borders too. They didn't seem as snobbish as Barnes & Noble.
exactly. borders was a place i liked to go in sit around and read. barnes and nobles is like. grab a book and get the heck out.
Exactly. I remember sitting in the aisle and giving whatever I might be a nice read. Seeing other people doing the same. Like no one really used the chairs or the cafe. Just sitting there on the floor. Dude I went to Barnes & Noble, and got stalked by this author who was aggressively trying to get people to buy his book.
Like he kept going even after I told him politely a few times that I wasn't interested. Told him that I wasn't looking for a new read anyway, I was looking to replace a copy of a book my dog ate. He's like 'you look like a heavy reader' and he'd follow me and my friends around.
